SLEEP 2017 Comes to Boston

We are excited to welcome SLEEP 2017, the largest scientific meeting dedicated exclusively to sleep medicine and sleep research, to the Hynes Convention Center on June 4-7, 2017. The week of SLEEP 2017 has been officially declared “Healthy Sleep Awareness Week” by Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker. This event attracts more than 5,000 sleep clinicians and scientists from over 46 countries around the world to present and discuss the latest developments and newest technology in sleep medicine.

SLEEP 2017 will focus on topics like insomnia, obstructive sleep apnea, circadian rhythm sleep disorders, and more. This year’s meeting features more than 1,200 research abstracts, over 100 educational sessions, and for the first time – faculty development workshops (one-hour sessions focused on providing professional development for educators). In addition, the SLEEP exhibit hall will showcase the newest products and services available in the field of sleep medicine.

“After we held a previous annual meeting in Boston, we received great feedback from attendees and couldn’t wait to return,” said Program Committee Chair Dr. Glen Greenough. “Our attendees appreciate Boston’s history and charm, and they enjoy sampling the city’s cuisine, exploring its unique neighborhoods and visiting the world-class cultural attractions.”

“The size of the Hynes Convention Center is conducive for the networking opportunities and discussion-based sessions that are an important part of our meeting, and the facility’s location in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood is extremely attractive to our attendees,” said Greenough.

And with 207 board-certified sleep specialists and 49 accredited sleep centers across Massachusetts, Boston delivers a uniquely qualified attendee base which certainly makes it one of the best locations for SLEEP 2017.
